Supplication to The Drukpa Kargyu Mahamudra Golden Rosary Lineage
The forefathers in the Kagyu lineage are known as the “Golden Rosary.” They are the enlightened master of greatest attainment and capability of their time who shoulder the heaviest responsibility ensuring the continuity of the lineage enlightened essence through oral or pith instructions passed on from them as a root-guru to a destined heart-disciple.
The source of Drukpa Kargyu Lineage is the great Lingchen Repa (1128-1188), also renown as the Saraha of Tibet. At the beginning, our lineage was called Lingre Kagyu, cited under his name. Later, Lingre Kagyu evolved to be known as the Drukpa Kargyu under the direction of Tsangpa Gyare, the only heart-disciple of Lingchen Repa.
